#News: Bouchara is looking for buyers

Bouchara, company founded in 1899 and dedicated to the homeware universe, is looking for buyers. The brand operates a network of 52 stores in large French cities (average sales areas of 1200m²), achieves turnover of 75 M€ and employs 576 people. In administration, its official receivers, the firms AJRS (Ms. Catherine Poli) and BCM (Mr. Éric Bauland), have issued a call for tender, with a deadline for offers set at 4 p.m. on March 10, 2026.

In 2017, following signature of a brand license, Eurodif and Bouchara merged: all Eurodif points of sale are now operated under the Bouchara brand name. This union gave rise to an offer that was, at that time, unique in France, combining Home and Homeware and aimed at a broad and loyal client base.

A business centred on home linens and decoration

The company’s business is based on the retail trade of quality home linens. Products on offer cover a wide range of references: bed, table and bathroom linen, tablecloths, curtains, furniture fabrics, tableware, kitchen utensils, decorative objects, and small pieces of furniture.

The company is aimed at a general public looking for affordable, attractive and practical products, building on a well-known brand and a market position that is a mix of tradition and modernity.

A nationwide network and a structured organisation

Eurodif currently operates a network of 52 Bouchara stores throughout France.

The head office is based in Paris for support roles, administrative offices for payroll and account are located in Brest, and the logistics warehouse is in Buchères (Aube).

In 2024 the company achieved turnover of 74.9 M€, and employs 576 people, 529 on permanent contracts.

Eurodif was placed into receivership by decision of the Paris Business Tribunal (Tribunal des activités économiques) on January 30 2026.  It is in this context that the company is now looking for a buyer wishing to build on an historic brand and further develop an existing national network.   The official receivers in charge, AJRS (Catherine Poli) and BCM (Eric Bauland), have issued a call for tender, the deadline for which is set at 4 p.m. on March 10 2026.
