POLYTECHNYL, the French subsidiary of the DOMO CHEMICALS group, specialising in the production of chemical intermediates, is looking for a buyer. Currently in receivership, the company is the subject of a call for tender within the context of a planned sale, organised under the guidance of Mr. Paul-Henri Audras, of the firm AJ UP, and Mr. Éric Bauland, of the firm BCM, the court appointed receivers. Interested candidates are invited to file a purchase offer. The deadline for offers is 23 février 2026.
SASU POLYTECHNYL, French subsidiary of the DOMO CHEMICALS group, specialises in the production of chemical intermediates, notably nylons, and in the transformation of these materials into polyamide 6.6, in the form of technical plastics (PA 6.6 compound) and polyamide 6.6 fibres.
Positioned as one of the European leaders in polyamide 6.6, POLYTECHNYL is backed by a large-scale manufacturing plant implanted on 65 hectares and integrating heavy production units and classified installations. The site has been registered as a SEVESO high-risk and low-risk industrial facility, reflecting the strategic and core nature of its activity.
Over the years, POLYTECHNYL has developed highly technical industrial skills, expertise in complex chemical procedures, and the capacity to work in demanding markets, notably in the industrial, automobile, and technical plastic sectors, and on applications with high added value.
Faced with economic and industrial difficulties in the context of a market that is adverse to European chemicals, SASU POLYTECHNYL was placed into receivership on 8 janvier 2026 by the Economic Activity Court of Lyon.
The company operates two industrial facilities in France, in Saint-Fons (Rhône) and Valence (Drôme), both sites being affected by the on-going procedure.
SASU POLYTECHNYL employs 537 salaried workers, and generated turnover of 605 M€ in 2024.
This procedure opens a strategic window for industrials or investors looking to take over first-class chemical and technical plastics assets on a large-scale historical site that has heavy infrastructure in place, is fully integrated in France’s “Chemical Valley”, and has recognised expertise.
This operation is about more than just taking over assets: it is about setting a sustainable industrial trajectory for a strategic facility, strongly positioned on the polyamide 6.6 value chain.
A takeover of SASU POLYTECHNYL constitutes a rare market opportunity, offering:
- A high-capacity industrial facility that is operational with immediate effect,
- A recognised positioning in polyamide 6.6 in Europe,
- heavy infrastructures that are difficult to replicate ex-nihilo,
- the potential to refocus, optimise, and industrial synergies for an actor already present on the chemical, technical plastic or engineered materials markets.
In this context the official receivers have launched a call for tender in view of finding one or more buyers.
Deadline for offers is 12 p.m. on Monday 23 février 2026!
